Flagey - Kollektif Landscape
In Brussels, Place Flagey and Sainte-Croix are being reimagined with a new layer of greenery. The design builds on the square’s existing rhythm, adding over 2,000 m² of planted space and around 60 new trees. These green areas act as rain gardens, buffering water and softening the urban heat.
The intervention is subtle but transformative: planting beds are reshaped, tree conditions improved, and new urban furniture introduced. The result is a more breathable public space — one that responds to climate challenges while preserving the openness and energy of the square. A quiet shift toward resilience, rooted in the landscape’s history.
